Clique Assignment 6

I skipped over posted assignment 5, since it was the WORST editing I have ever done in my life. But for assignment 6, we had to show our model at the Winter Formal Dance. Our requirements were winter decorations, people dancing, and formal clothing. This is what I came up with:

RB Male Modeling Assignment 1

So, we already had our first assignment given to us and the assignment was very simple: have your model in beach wear. My mouse fried, so I have to use my boyfriend's old laptop mouse for the time being and it absolutely SUCKS for editing, so bare with me on this entry. His legs are a tad choppy, thanks to this crap mouse.

Chapter 21

Chapter 21 of NSF is now released!

http://neversayforever.yolasite.com/chapter-21.php

Technical Difficulties

Hey everyone!

So, I got a new internal hard drive for my computer for Christmas, and my computer is 7 years old and extremely difficult to work with. My dad is some technical genius, so I asked him to help me hook it up into my computer. He built me my computer 7 years ago, and remembers that he had a really hard time getting the main hard drive in there, for whatever reason. With that being said, he worked on it literally all day yesterday and couldn't figure it out. He knows he will get it figure out eventually, but he had to go out of town today for work and won't have time to work on my computer. With that being said, I don't have access to my sims game or my editing software until Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Now, with THAT being said, I did back up all my files and I am almost positive I did it correctly. But, there still is a small chance that it didn't work and therefore I might lose all of my sims and saved sim games. If that's the case, I will lose the Morgan household and therefore will have to recreate everyone in the NSF series and the home. If that happens, I might not be able to get anymore chapters out to you for a little while again, as I will have to put my magazine first when it comes to recreating everything. BUT on the bright side, I already had the screenshots taken for chapter 21 and, since I can't do any editing for the next day or two, and have nothing better to do with my time, I can solely focus on this chapter and get it to you guys within the next day or so, so you will for sure have another chapter soon! Lets all keep our fingers crossed that my backing up of my sims files will work and I won't have to keep you guys waiting.

Joined a new competition! I know, I know...what am I thinking, right? I am already overwhelmed with the amount I've taken on and now I've joined another competition? Tehe >.< My model for the competition is named Keiran Blaine.

Clique Assignment 4

I have to say, this was my absolute favorite assignment so far. I worked extremely hard on my entry and am very proud of what I came up with. We had to show our model at a school fundraiser. This is what I did:

Monday, December 6, 2010

Clique Assignment 3

This competition is extremely fast paced, which I absolutely love about it. Anyways, for this next assignment, we were supposed to show our model attending her first school football game and showing school spirit. For my entry, I had Ryan dress up in her school's colors.

Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Clique Assignment 2

For this assignment, we all had to choose a club or sports team from the list Bliss provided us with. I, unfortunately, was one of the last contestants to check in so I didn't have much to choose from. I chose to do the Debate Team...and my god, was it ever tough!

Caved In

So, as some of you may already know, I was planning on taking a break from competing so I can focus on hosting my own competitions and my magazine. Well, I caved in the other day and joined a competition >.<

It's called Clique hosted by Bliss87 and its all about highschool. So, naturally, I used a teenage sim. Her name is Ryan Thom. This is her:

We already were assigned the first "Homework Assignment" when I signed up and I got it done right away. We were supposed to show our model on the first day of school and how they felt about the way they looked and which Clique they would belong to. This was my entry:

The idea was supposed to be like...what they would see in a mirror. I did it so that Ryan would catch her reflection in a store window on her way to school and question what she was wearing. She was the new kid at her high school and that was the first day she was going to meet anyone.

Nature's Finest Finale

Well, as all of my competitions come to a close, I find out that I came in second place for Nature's Finest. It was only expected, though, as my competitor was a seriously good editor and photographer and definitely more than competition for me. I'm happy with this result, especially since I had tried and tried to blow the competition so I would get eliminated for about 3 or 4 assignments straight.

Now, I am out of the competing sim world....at least, for now. I am only merely a host of my own competitions and an editor for Flux Magazine. I have temporarily quit competing...and I'm not sure how much I like that.

Wow , EA

Gooddnesss ! I am getting sick of all of these random problems that EA seem to throw up on us all the time. It's finally the final assignment for my competition, and when I post the scores and new assignment, I always start by updating the websites and then create a new forum thread. The forums were working just fine a couple minutes before I began this, but the SECOND I decide the create the new thread, the entire site is supposedly "down for maintenance" with no prior warnings. Between the bugs I experience in game and the problems with the forums, EA is quickly travelling further and further down my list. Seriously. Screw your heads on, EA, and enough of the glitches and problems. We NEVER had this many problems when the Sims belonged to Maxis, and you guys are a much bigger company and probably more technologically advanced. Why so many errors?

Model Fever Cycle 6 Runner Up

The results of the finale of Model Fever cycle 6 came out as a tie. Chloesays and I both got the exact same score for our photos. I was a bit bummed when the hostess decided she wasnt going to post a tie breaker or anything, but instead look into the past assignments and pick a winner based on that. I started that competition with little experience in editing, so I knew that there was no way I could win. I came in the bottom half of the scores many times at the beginning of this competition and only started placing in first or second near the end. So naturally, Chloesays won and I came in second. I am, however, satisfied with that. I got way further in that competition than I ever thought I would.

Flux Magazine Issue One Launch

For those of you who are following the production of Flux Magazine and can't find our new thread for the launch, we have officially released our first issue!

" The Topic You are Looking For Does Not Exist "

Is anybody else having forum problems? I tried getting onto half of my bookmarked forum posts, one of them was my own contest, and a stupid message saying "The Topic You Are Looking For Does Not Exist" pops up. Then I tried to click forum index, so I could post a new thread talking about this problem, but apparently that doesn't exist either. Please please please let me know if anybody out there is experiencing the same problem!

Flux Modeling Assignment 13 Example

For this next Flux assignment, I assigned my competitors a version of Vogue to do a cover for. Here was my example picture:

Model Fever Finale

For this final assignment, I'm up against Chloesays - an amazingly talented competitor who I barely stand a chance against! We were to create three photos. The first one - a Model Fever magazine cover :

The second part we had to create a movie poster. The genre of the movie was completely up to us. I decided to do a horror movie.

For the third part, it was a photo of choice. I went for a vampire scene.

Striking Assignment 2

For this assignment, we had to choose a song from the list of songs provided and portray the meaning behind the song through a picture. I chose Deja Vu by Beyonce. My picture is about a girl who just can't let go of her ex, and sees him where ever she goes and associates even the most inanimate of objects with her lost love.

Hot Shot Assignment 2

For this assignment, we had to do photoskinning in a handbag or jewelry ad with our model's wearing little to no clothing. This assignment took me FOREVER and had TONS of redos, but here is my final draft:

Am I Running Out Of Steam?

I sincerely apologize to the NSF fans out there who have been waiting and waiting for the next chapter. I have had an unbelievably busy past couple of weeks in RL and it's starting to get the best of me. I really hope that I can continue on with everything that I committed to, but as it stands right now, things aren't looking good. And it's not just the story I'm concerned about, either. It's everything from my magazine, to my contest, to the competitions that I'm competing in. I never anticipated for my life to get this hectic, but it has and with work picking up and a new puppy who needs tons of attention in his learning stage, I don't know how much more I'm going to be able to handle.

I finally get a day off work tomorrow, and am hoping my pup will leave me alone long enough to get some work done. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Current Flux Modeling Assignment Example

I meant to post this earlier, but I happened to forget >.< This is my favorite Flux Modeling Assignment Example I've done so far in this cycle. I wanted to share it with you all. For this assignment, I'm having my contestants portray a hardship in life. They must choose a dark word and portray it in the picture. For my example, I did the word Loss  :

Model Fever Assignment 11

For this assignment, we had to come up with a Fall based picture. I went for a "Fall Fashion ... Literally" feel:

We also had to come up with 5 interview questions and have our models answer them :

Model Fever Rep: Hello Faye. It's great to have you here today. We wanted to talk to you a little bit about the Fall season. We've read in previous articles that it's your favorite season. Why is Fall your favorite?

Faye: Well, as a model, my manager would want me to say something like it's my favorite because of the change in fashion and getting to shop for the seasonal wardrobe. But honestly, I love the color changing in the leaves and crunching sound the leaves make when I go for a walk. The smells are indulging and the cool, breezy days are so inspiring. Not to mention, season premieres of all my favorite TV shows.

Model Fever Rep: It's so refreshing to hear someone from such a materialistic industry appreciate nature like that. Most people choose their favorite things by associating them with a fond memory as a child. Do you have any fond memories of autumn from when you were growing up?

Faye: Trick or treating with my grandpa was something that I looked forward to every year. He always took me out and let me stay up really late, eating candy and watching spooky movies. It was somewhat of a tradition we adapted.

Model Fever Rep: That's so sweet. Do you still enjoy halloween as much as you did when you were a kid?

Faye: Oh definitely. I mean, I'm obviously too old to go trick or treating, but my agency always throws this wicked halloween party and I love to get dressed up all sexy with my girl friends and just have fun. It's trick or treating - adult style.

Model Fever Rep: So that tradition with your grandfather ended with your childhood?

Faye: My grandfather is no longer with us. If he was, though, I truly believe that we would still have that tradition...minus the trick or treating part. And to be honest, I would blow off my halloween parties to spend the night with my grandpa any day.

Model Fever Rep: I'm so sorry to hear that about your grandfather. I have one last question, Faye. As part of your job as a model, you are to look your best and always represent the latest fashion trends. Do you have any tips for our readers on what the hottest buys are for this particular season?

Faye: Scarves are a big fall accessory right now. Not the kind that are meant to keep your neck warm (although, they still do cover quite a bit), but the fashion scarves. There are so many variations and styles now that they've become extremely popular in the fashion industry. To be honest, scarves are my favorite accessory. They go with just about anything.

Officially Moved

Today I officially closed down my other site and settled right in here at blogger.com. Hopefully you all enjoy this blog as much as you did my other one. I know there isn't a whole lot to do here, especially compared to my old site, but all the essentials are covered. You can take a peek at the competitions I've won, participated in, or am still competing in as well as keep up with my latest photo edits and story chapters. Have fun =D

Striking Assignment 1

So, funny story. Apparently I reserved a spot in the second cycle of Striking, done by Pringle, and I totally don't remember reserving that spot! I was shocked when Pringle asked me if I still wanted my reserve. Raaanndddomm. Anyway so for our first assignment, we had to make a portfolio collage thing. I decided to mine a little different:

Temperature Assignment 1

For this first assignment, we had to create something magical. With my new found obsession with pegasus' and phoenix's, I immediately wanted to do one of these. But, I already did a pegasus picture for Superior Modeling so I decided to take on a phoenix. My model's name is Marina Styles. I spent a good few hours doing my entry and this is what I came up with:

Hot Shot Assignment 1

For this first assignment, we had a lesson plan and then had to incorporate the lesson into creating a head shot. With this competition, our models are shape shifters and have an animal that they turn into. My model for this comp is Hayden Bouchette and her animal is a phoenix. This was my entry:

Eliminated =(

I have only ever been eliminated from a competition once and that was because I blew the assignment. I wasn't happy with how the competition was being run, and I sensed some serious favoritism between the host and a group of my fellow competitors and I was just not happy with that, so I didn't try very hard on my assignment in hopes that I would be eliminated.

But now, I've been eliminated for the second time since I started competing in these competitions from a competition that I actually tried extremely hard in - Dark Shadowz. The post I made right before this shows you guys my latest and my last assignment entry for that competition. I spent literally hours getting it done and I got eliminated. I came in third place, though. But still. It sucks =(

Getting eliminated is not a great feeling. Hopefully it won't happen again.

Dark Shadowz Assignment 6

Just finished one of the loonngggesst assignments I've had to do yet. I spent a good six hours on it...maybe even more >.<

For this assignment, we had to put our models into film. Our models are evil and therefore, the genre of the film is supposed to be horror. There were three parts to this: DVD cover, back of the DVD, and a movie poster depicting a scene from the movie. My model is named Aryu Demonian and she is a fallen faerie. She lived in Teiran Forest, which is a place filled with magical creatures that protect the human race. These creatures are anything from elves to faeries to angels or genies. Aryu was born with an affinity for 4 out of the 5 elements. The only affinity she doesn't possess is the affinity for Earth. Aryu was made fun of growing up and just had enough of it. So she left the forest. When you leave Teiran Forest, you begin to change into something evil. Here's my entry:

I hope you all like it. I know that I am pretty proud of it, considering I am totally sick and lacking any inspiration / creativity lately.

Complainers -- Uggghhh

Hello to all.

So I posted this entry on my blog on the sims 3 website, but I feel angry enough about it to post it twice :

Here's muh rant for the day : I am so entirely sick of how overloaded the forums are. WITH THAT BEING SAID - I am so entirely sick of people making a billion and one threads about what they dislike about the sims 3. I have seen numorous threads where simmer's are comparing how crappy the sims 3 is to how "Awesome" the sims 2 was. God, instead of flooding the forums for those of us who actually enjoy their games, why not just simply (and silently) uninstall your stupid game and go back to the sims 2? Nobody needs to hear you whining and complaining. Like jeeze, I could easily post this blog entry on the forums and have people spontaneously posting comments on it to make myself feel better, but instead, I decided to NOT annoy the frequent forum users and post this on my blog instead. The forums are more for people who have problems and WANT solutions and to share your content with the rest of the simming world. I think more than half of the frequent forum users can back me up when I say "WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR COMPLAINING ANYMORE!" It's a very simple solution. You don't like the sims 3? Quit playing it. You don't think that the next EP is going to be good? Don't buy it. Get it? Got it. Good.

Srsly, people. I am someone who uses the forums on a daily basis. I would rather help people with their problems and post entries for the contests that I'm in...not have to scroll through pages and pages of people complaining their heads off about something that really nobody cares about. I'm not going to name any names, as I'm not one to point fingers (usually), but to those of you who can't control yourselves : GROW THE EFF UP! If I was pissed off at my game enough, I'd quit. End of story.

Thanks for reading.

Fast Lane

I bought Fast Lane about a week and a half before I actually installed it. Throughout the forums, I kept reading about all of the problems that installing Fast Lane caused and I was scared that it would wreck my game. At first, it did. I couldn't play any households that I already had in my neighbourhood. Everytime I loaded a household, I couldn't control my sims. It was like I was in camera mode all the time. It took me to move in a brand new household in order to get past this bug, as if everything was locked up. But once I finally got to control my sims, I found that I actually really enjoy this SP. I'm a car lover and I really only do modeling on the game, so the cars and the garage clutter are very ideal for me. The hairs are awful, and the dresses are alright. I love the shoes for women, though. I think EA did good with that one.

I will be doing a full review of the SP in the first issue of Flux Magazine. Just thought I'd share my initial thoughts about this pack on here. I know there are quite a few people out there who are unsure if they want this pack. I would recommend it to those of you who like cars and clutter, because that's really all this SP is good for.

Earlier Work

Here are some of my photos that I did waayy back when I first started editing. You can see a huge difference from these photos to my more recent photos. The only way to get better at anything is by PRACTISING =D

This was my first ever photo edit. As you can see, I didn't haveo do much editing.

** Flux Studios is basically like my copyright name. If you see any photos with this saying on it, it's done by me.
